Tuesday Tips

…on living more sustainable!

  • Bring a reusable water bottle everywhere you go. These babies not only hold that glorious H2O but coffee, tea, soup, smoothies or act as a carrier for secret messages you float down stream!

In all seriousness, using a reusable water bottle or thermos is a small change that has big impacts. It reduces the use of throw-away (single-use) cups and bowls (so long as you're not too picky of an eater) and depending on your drink, it can save you money by not paying for refills, keep your contents cool or hot and keep you hydrated throughout the day helping prevent those tempting junk-food cravings.

There are a plethora of options to choose from out there. My personal recommendation would be to go with glass or stainless steel.

I have one of each. A glass water bottle with a silicone sleeve that I take with me everywhere I go (by Zulu water bottles) -

- and should I feel the need for a cup of jo or tea, I switch to my travel mug that looks like a camera lens!

Whatever you choose just remember to pick one that's designed to last well and stick with it as long as possible. A little research prior to purchase never hurts either! A big part of living sustainably is the practice of buying fewer, more efficient and long-lasting products.

Hope you enjoyed today's tip! Thanks for reading, let me know in the comments what kind of reusables you're using!
